Joined 29Labs at the very early stage and got a chance to bring the service to life. Insa is a service that encourages the user to keep in better touch with their loved ones. We planned and developed the product from the very early stage.

As part of the team at the early stage, we started user research and set targeted demographics.
Project challenges

✓ Setting the ground and structure of the service within the given timeframe (2 months)

✓ Elaborating and developing in-app visual components in order to guide the user

✓ Branding to set the very first brand colour theme and to release the app on appstores

Targeted demograhpics⋅users

- Parents & children: two generations

- Two age groups: 20-30s and 50s
- Family living apart

Persona

Samira / 53 / Teacher
Bio

Samira lives with her hudsband alone and her beloved son is living abroad.

Her son Steve has been living abroead for about 5 years. Samira wishes to share more videos and  memories with her son even though they’re apart.
Pain points

- Finds it timeconsuming to sort out pictures of her son and family pictures

- Wants to have topics that she can talk about with her family

- Is not being able to talk to her kid due to time difference

Logan / 26 / Business Consultant
Bio
Logan moved to Madrid, Spain from Quito, Colombia 6 years ago.

As working as business consultant, he’s been moving within Europe; but he doesn’t get a chance to visit his family due to the distance. He wants to show his family the scenery that he sees on business trips.

He tries to send pictures to his family, but sometimes just sending videos and pictures doesn’t feel enough. He wants to show the scenery to his family and wants the videos to be archived.
Pain points
- Wants to be in better touch with his family

- Wants the videos and pictures that he sends to be organized.

Solution to the pain points
✓ Giving the user interesting topics that they can talk about everyday

✓ Video messaging

✓ Videos are automatically archived once sent and the recipient and sender both have access to the video in the archived section.

In-app functions

In a nutshell, there are multiple features in the user experience flow:

- Video messaging
- Mood tracking/checking
