In Fall 2021, I had a chance to choose a font to work on its specimen poster. There were many options, but the most interesting to me amongst the fonts in the list was Noto Sans because how the word ‘Noto’ was coined greatly interested me.
Noto Sans means No‘tofu’ Sans — ‘Tofu’ as in the box when the font cannot recognize a letter. I decided on this font because of its idea and the accessibility that the project provides.
I set the accent colours and primal colours in order to show the character of font. ‘Hi’ in many languages is in the poster and on the website design to show its diversity.
